Most of my clients start out with lots of questions. Questions about me, about how I work. You probably have questions too, and they might look like these…

Are you the best designer in the world?
I blush.

My kids think I am. But no, I’m not. Yet. But I do great work if what you are looking for is a professional, yet affordable, website.

Do you only design and build sites on WordPress?
Well, yes. And no. If you want me to build a site that you can easily manage and update, then I’m going to recommend WordPress to you. I’ve not yet found anything that I can’t do with it and the majority of my sites are built on WordPress.

But, design is design. If you have a site built on another content management system, or even static HTML, that you want redesigned, I can work with you on that too.

How much will a website cost?
This is one of the most difficult questions to answer, and it’s usually one of the first! Each job is quoted based on the unique needs for that site, and I can’t give you a fair estimate without learning more about what your needs are.

I can tell you that a basic website, built from scratch, is going to start at $1000. For smaller budgets, I’m also available for hourly contract work, when you need design and layout tweaks done on an existing site or template.

How long will it take?
Another hard one to answer! Being a freelancer, my workload varies. Of late, I’ve had about 3-4 weeks of work ahead of me. Once I begin work on a website, it is generally a 2-3 week process for a working website, depending on the amount of revisions and timeliness in response of the client.

What equipment and software do you use?
I love this question. Thanks for asking. Since you probably didn’t know what you were in for when you asked, I’ll give you the short answer.

I use a 13″ MacBook Pro and an iPhone 3GS everyday. At my desk, I connect to a 24″ Samsung monitor so I can get a good look at your future pixels. I love my Magic Mouse. When I make your website, you can bet that I will use Adobe Photoshop, Espresso, CSSEdit, OmniFocus and Yojimbo.

Oh…and a lot of the other kind of espresso too.

Do you offer website hosting?
At this time, I don’t offer hosting services. I can point you to some hosts that other clients have been happy with. And if you ask my opinion of one I haven’t been happy with, I’ll tell you that too.
